Who loves books? I do! The
love of books is what prompted me to become a writer.
I am sad to say, I haven't been reading much lately (unless you can count editing my own work.) I just don't seem to have as much time anymore.
I sometimes listen to an audio book on my way to and from work, but it's just not the same. Don't get me wrong, I love audio books. It's just that lately I find my attention wandering when trying to listen to a book.
I miss curling up on the couch with a good book, spending hours lost in other worlds, and enjoying some down time.
I've made a commitment to myself to take some time to read, relax, and enjoy the remaining summer days. I've added some books to my To Read list that I want to complete and review before the summer's over. I've settled on two fantasy titles and one science fiction title.
First, I'm going to read The Dark Army: The Starblade Chronicles # 2 by Joseph Delaney. I was a big fan of Wardstone Chronicles, but when I read The Starblade Chronicles # 1 it kind of put me off the series. Now I want to know what happens to Tom. He was such a likable character and I want to see him become a successful spook.
The second book I'm going to read is Quantum Night by Robert J. Sawyer. I've never read anything from this author, but I liked the plot of this book. I've seen some mixed reviews for this book. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to reading it.
Faerie Moon by Matt Mark is third on my list. I don't know much about this author, but being an indie author myself, I like to support other indie authors as much as possible. The book sounds interesting, filled with both humans and faeries. Sounds like my kind of book.
Remember to follow and sign up for email updates. Be on the lookout for my reviews for these three books, coming soon.
Have you purchased my book, Prelude to Destiny: Awakening? If you have, I thank you. If you see fit, please leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads. I would love to hear from you.
